Overt crimes linking to more obscure ones. Some of Trump’s crimes were absolutely open and overt (where he was essentially bragging about doing the crimes)- so that diminishes the statement that all will be held to account.

The political timeline and the criminal justice timeline do not match up at all, and the political timeline is far more relevant as it can ultimately thwart any DOJ action against anyone in Trumpworld if Trump or his allies gain power in 2024 - because they can hamstring investigations, derail them outright, and if Trump or his allies retake the WH, issue outright pardons to all of them for their misconduct.
