“Blitzkrieg” was pure propaganda, taking a concept most other militaries experimented with as they mechanized (“combined arms”) and putting it into practice while those other militaries squabbled over the “proper” role of the tank in modern warfare. It especially helped that the Wehrmacht did not give into the same BS a lot of those competitors did of allowing the cavalry to hold back the tank because they didn’t want to give up their horses.
