They don’t seem to understand the transition society has taken in an increasingly mobile world. We are no longer insular citizens living in isolated enclaves with no cross cultural differences. As soon as we began to travel around the world, and as immigration increased, that insularity dissolved. I find this odd because this is not a new behavior and has been present since the industrial age or even well before that. They are rather old-fashioned.

The US/Europe is not the world.

I doubt it’s happening in Asia, Africa, Mid-East, ie the majority of the world, like it does closer to home. Though I don’t think it’s happening that much in Europe either.
