It’s scary the way they talk. I was no fan of Bush but I wanted him out the democratic way i.e. voting him out in 2004 and people to Congress who would oppose him and his agenda. But the way the teapartiers rhetoric comes across it seems like they actively view Obama as an enemy of America itself and talk about revolution. One of the most important lessons I learned in American history was just how important the election of 1800 was. It was a peaceful transfer of power between Adams and Jefferson and if you think about that, it was truly an unique thing in history to that point. I’m taking modern Latin American history now and the years following their successful revolutions involved many civil wars between factions.
