He was only good at one thing. Being fertilized and being born into a wealthy family. Saw that Nugent without any irony the other day said Trump was the candidate of the people who make something of themselves and Clinton of the blood suckers (his words not mine). Anyhow, it just occurs to me that by and large especially in Presidential elections, Dem candidates have been people like Clinton and Obama who have risen from the Middle Classes while GOP candidates have either been people like Trump/Romney/the Bushes or even McCain who came from a well connected military family. The last GOP nominee who was probably from a background that most Americans could honestly relate with was Dole and before that Reagan.

further though, republicans haven’t won a presidential election without a Bush or Nixon on the ticket since 1928.
