Yeah I just don’t get what these people choose to get angry at. I understand why people were upset at Fonda but My Lai should have infuriated them. If you truly believed in the cause of stopping Communism’s spread, how on earth could you defend that? Too many people in our country want to view our country’s history the same way many revisionists in other countries do. When I was talking with my brother today, he brought up how Trump and others are trying the slippery slope thing to discredit CSA statue critics, he said that these people need to think about how an African-American may view George Washington and our founders who no doubt viewed PoC as their inferior.

Yeah this wasn’t unfortunate collateral damage, but the deliberate targeting of civilians by an established military force. Women and children were deliberately targeted by those in uniform. A uniform that many of us hold dear to, and see the message it upholds.

Fonda to her credit has repented countless times (which explains why I’ve softened my stance on her significantly in the years since), but she still is a declared enemy to veterans.

It was over 4 decades ago, she didn’t kill anybody nor did she torture any POW’s, get over it and move on already.
