The biggest tragedy will of course be Charles’ accession to the throne, I think Elizabeth is hoping to outlive him and see one of her grandsons take over…If she considered him at all competent, she would have stepped down ages ago…

I’ve also seen speculation that he really doesn’t want to be king and would abdicate. I have no idea whether there’s any truth in that or not.
