I genuinely don’t get the teleprompter thing

After years of hearing how bad a speaker bush was (all the Bushisms) we were treated to an eloquent speaker when Obama burst onto the scene. The few times without the prompter he stumbled, hedged and hawed as much as snyone else without one

Well, that’s fair, and I think it’s a valid teasing point, much like the 57 United States. I just don’t think it’s a valid policy issue or character issue, which seems to be what it’s getting built up into.
