Contrast this with my church service this morning, where my pastor preached on racism (yes, really!) and informed us that our denomination had officially activated their outreach ministry to serve in Texas. Not taking FROM the poor and destitute, but giving TO them. Joel Osteen could learn a thing or two from sitting in our small-town services for a few weeks.
