Since I was a Navy recruiter, I would note this.

Signing up for the military means you support what the government is doing wholeheartedly. That would mean supporting Trump and his enablers. That means going to war if Trump or the GOP congress decides we need to do that (or Trump got his feelings hurt by a tweet).

When I was in the Navy, I would have argued strongly for considering it. Now, not so much, until we have a stable government.

I honestly don’t know the kid well enough to advise him one way or the other. His father, my cousin’s ex is a right wing jerk though.
