It’s lovely when a target gets to pass on questions during an investigation into his possible wrongdoing.

I mean, exercising your Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination is entirely legitimate. The president exercising that right can create a bit of a constitutional crisis, but he is still technically allowed to exercise it, as far as I know.

Trump’s problem is that he’s doing this as hamfistedly as he does everything else.
