Seriously, the Trump campaign’s talking point today seems to be “Hillary is wrong for thinking facts have a place in a debate.”

Well, that is literally what Trump thinks. Debate are about showmanship and putting your opponents in their place. Showing how dominant you are.

But the idea that the media should NOT serve as neutral fact checkers? That’s bizarre. I understand that Trump’s working the refs as he always does, but Conway’s statement goes a step beyond that, indicating it’s not the role of the media to look at the two sides and find the truth.

What, then, IS their role?
