The GOP wont move on him because they still think they can avoid the permanent stench he’s left on them. Well, that and that they need his rubes - aka their GOP voter base. If the GOP moves on Trump to impeach or 25th Amendment him, the party base will go batcrap insane because that’s how deranged they too are.

Remember, it took two years to oust President Nixon. At the exact moment the GOP decides their chances of losing elections exceeds their support of Trump, he’s gone.

Another word in that list to describe the GOP: Craven.

Nixon wasn’t ousted because they suddenly grew a conscience. He was ousted because they thought they would lose the midterm elections.

More Democrats running in red state districts defeating Republicans in special elections might shake them up more (Quist in Montana, Ossoff in his runoff in Georgia, &c).
