Saw it when it came out, didn’t like it, don’t remember it very well, and much preferred The Thirteenth Floor which came out the same year. Both movies involved living in a computer-simulation, where the inhabitants thought they were in the real world and not the simulation. In any case, red pill had nothing to do with its appropriation by women-haters.
I saw some of it in 1999 and thought that it was a well done movie but it didn’t capture my interest at all. I mean film love is subjective but I’m more about plot and character development.
