How many times to I have to correct the “Obama and Hillary munching on hot dogs with the Iranians” line ? That was never suggested, just a cable weeks ago allowing embassies around the world to invite diplomats from Iran to a cookout. Based on recent events, even that is likely off the table. I agree the suggested spin will raise the blood pressure on the right, but some would prefer the truth, even if it was less outrageous.

Avanti, thetre is absolutely ne reaso to assume that the invitations to the Iranian diplomats is off of the table. Media reports that I have heard say that the invitations stand.
Sven if this took place prior to the unrest, the invitations should be recinded. And why invite diplomats from a nation that we have no diplomatic relations with?
