When entire areas are neglected for decades the people there who have no access to chances for betterment - via employment, training or business starting capital will tend to get a might tetchy.

However - do not for a moment believe that i think the people stealing goods tonight don’t have personal responsibility for their actions.

I went to the same school as many of them in Tottenham, i have mutual facebook friends with the man killed by police - he chose to carry a gun just as these people are choosing to carry televisions out of stores and then burning them.Those are irrevocable choices.

What i am getting that is that in London a gang culture has emerged over the last decade - and perhaps i didn’t explain that bit - where the young people are choosing to see each other and rival districts as their enemy - the wall thats stopping them from improvement.
These kids should be turning that anger and hatred into productive change to the state mechanisms which would provide infrastructure, housing, youth groups, structured learning of trades - etc etc etc.
