Tennessee state senator Stacey Campfield (R-Knoxville), who brought us the “Don’t Say Gay” school bill and claims that hetero sex can’t give you AIDS, is back with a bill to strip families of TANF assistance based on the children’s grades in school.

Since when did “controversial” come to be media speak for “stupid fucking proposal”? In what sane universe does linking your child’s school performance to financial aid make any sort of sense?
