Sessions could be right. They might have wanted a very damaged Clinton to win so the government would be ineffective, but run by sane people.

Last night on MSNBC the New Yorker author that did a story on all of the Russian thing said as much.

They didn’t think Trump could win they were just using him and all the hacks to tear at Hillary. They wanted her damaged. He claimed it all went back to Bill Clinton expanding NATO to the east and too close to Putin’s Russia. Hate one Clinton, hate the other one too.
