Oh, I think she meant it literally. If you look at Palin’s cheerleaders from back in the day, most comments centered on her looks and how it made them, uh “feel.” Remember Rich Lowry’s little starbursts through the screen.

As I’ve mentioned here previously, before the 2016 election, I was listening to the conversation between two men discussing the candidates. The one topic they agreed on was that Melania was gorgeous and Trump had no reason to be less than faithful to her, whereas Hillary was positively unattractive and Bill’s extramarital flings were certainly understandable.

The great thing all this vetting is doing is showcasing the diversity of the party and its elected officials though.

My sister and BIL are both unhappy with Biden’s announcement that he is going to select a woman, because somehow they think that has backed him into a corner and he won’t be able to select the imaginary “best” candidate.

My sister’s favorite is Sherrod Brown — who, if he had been running for President, I certainly would have seriously considered and would have definitely preferred to Biden. Among those running in the primaries, my sister really liked Amy but she always felt that the Democrats lacked anyone with the charisma needed to defeat Trump.

They will both vote for Biden but I think they both are limited by their view that, given Biden’s age (and possibility of not making it through his first term), somehow you need a White Christian male as running mate so that the vast racist, religious, misogynist voting bloc will feel comfortable with selecting Biden.
