I mean this is a man who worked to democratize and open up the old Eastern bloc. Yet he’s made out to be a Communist and a Nazi collaborator. The animus towards this man is based in good, old fashioned Antisemitism and I’ve seen nothing that suggests otherwise.

Not to disagree that antisemitism plays a part, but there are other Jewish billionaires who support liberal causes (or at least one in Bloomberg). The thing that separates Soros is his work to democratize that you mentioned. It has made him the target of tyrants and their bootlickers around the world. The hate from Trumpers is a piece of that.
