Still think that there should be permanent homes for the Games - Athens for Summer and Switzerland for the Winter.

No need to send them all over the planet building venues that will fall into disuse the moment the games depart. We see it happen after every Games.

Except Los Angeles. LA built one venue in 1932 that’s seen plenty of use since then, the rest of the venues are things that were already there and regularly full. For the 1984 games, they didn’t have to build a single thing, and they turned a profit.
