Are 12 Step programs considered faith-based? I know there’s the whole “higher power” thing, but I don’t know what that actually means. I do know quite a few people that have worked the steps over the years and most (if not all) have come through clean.

I honestly don’t know a lot about detox programs, but I’m guessing there’s probably a combination of medication and counseling involved in any good rehab program.
