I think there are equally talented artists these days. They have a hard time getting heard in a world that has somehow managed to sell some gawd-awful art as great and popular.
Besides, having support dancers is more important. And lights and costumes!
I donβt think Marvin Gaye had support dancers. And as long as the lights were on and he had clothes on he was gonna knock it out.
Artists have always had trouble getting heard or viewed, and there are plenty of gawd-awful popular songs in the past as well.
