Starting a few years ago, there were quite a few news reports about America becoming a minority-majority nation sometime by the middle of this century.

I read them, and found them interesting - in other words, I took it calmly. After all, an American is an American and it makes no difference to me their race, color or creed.

However…..a sizable segment of the White population seems to have read those same reports and gone absolutely, 100% certified batshit insane.

It’s fear. Their fear, their absolute pants-shitting fear, that they’ll be a demographic minority. And President Obama’s election in 2008 and re-election in 2012 likely only served to send their fear, paranoia and racial resentment into the stratosphere.

I think their fear is that fs they lose the majority that they will be treated as they treat minorities now. They know how shitty they are to minorities and they fear being treated the same. They think this just like criminals think everyone thinks like a criminal like they do, so they can’t trust anyone since they know they wouldn’t trust themselves.
