Trump was born in Woodhaven, New York to immigrants, Friedrich Drumpf (March 14, 1869 – March 30, 1918) and Elisabeth Christ (October 10, 1880 – June 6, 1966), who were married in 1902 at Kallstadt, Rheinland-Pfalz.[1] Drumpf emigrated to the United States in 1885 and became a naturalized US citizen in 1892. Calling himself “Frederick Trump”, Trump began his career running the Arctic Restaurant and Hotel in Bennett, British Columbia, during the Klondike Gold Rush. After the turn of the century the restaurant was sold and he returned to Germany. After marriage he migrated again, settling down in Queens, New York City, New York.
