I don’t think it’s cowering at all. While some of Sanders supporters are clearly nuts, there are a lot of people who believe in his ideals. Most of us (and I include myself even if I never was a Sanders supporter) believe in healthcare for all and being able to get an education without going into a lifelong servitude of repayment. Most of the people like me, however, know that Sanders was completely full of shit in that none of what he is touting has even a modicum of a chance at getting implemented…his whole Build It And They Will Bow To My Awesome Will bullshit is just that, bullshit.
