It’s a total double standard, there’s no doubt about that, but something we’re doing isn’t working here. No matter how many times we point out the hypocrisy and double standards of right wingers, it seems to make no difference at all. It’s not just that they have no consciences and no shame, it’s that the rest of the country doesn’t seem to care either.

I don’t know what needs to happen to break this barrier of uncaring, but it’s a very real thing. Only liberals and Democrats ever seem to be accountable for double standards.

For example, the GOP is running trillion dollar deficits after accusing Obama of bankrupting the economy, and their response to that being pointed out is “I wish you had cared when Obama was President.” That’s all they need to say, and their rank hypocrisy is overlooked.
