re: #288 William Lewis

My two cents.
Toyota Corolla or a Honda Civic. 2018 leftovers coming up. Base models have a lot going for them. And they get close to 40 MPG highway even with a heavy foot You can realistically look at getting over 250K with proper oil changes, tires, blah blah.
They work. They hold up. And they retain resell value. We still have a 2010 Corolla and a 2012 Civic. And they have given us zero problems. Civic is my wife’s and has 213,000 and I think it’s good for 400K. She drives it 100 mile round trip daily.
Look at all of them on the road.
Contact dealers within the area around you by Email. Tell them color is no issue. And you will be buying a car. They get one shot. I need your lowest price. Refuse to go in to talk. If they dance, move on.
I bought cars online since 2002. Only way to go.
It might take you a week or so, but they will be receiving new inventory soon and will be looking to clear old inventory.
Remember every Toyota/Honda dealer is NOT the same. You do the legwork you can get a deal. Like I said, doing it since 2002. Every vehicle.
One final thing. I also traveled over 100 miles to get the deal a few times.

Good luck.
