This story actually brings something home to me, though: A lot of times, I think of conspiratards and other assorted idjits as “them”. They are, in fact, real people, often ruining real lives in real ways. It’s sad, it’s infuriating, but we need to treat them like real people (including telling them off when they’re just being assholes).

they’re driving the cars around you
they are elected and in your local state and natl govts
They perform surgery on you
They prepare and serve your food
They prescribe drugs
Fly planes, trains, drive the buses
