In 20 years the attack on the Capitol, despite one or two innocent deaths, might be seen as a critical moment in the preservation of democracy. Depends on what we do in the next 2 years.

As awful as it sounds, we need the Cheney/McConnell wing of the GOP to defeat the Trump wing. The establishment Republicans are vile in their own right, but the fascists are existential threats to human survival.
