Been interesting to watch the ol’ Al-J over the last decade or so. In my mind they’ve matured substantially as a news source (especially their English-language section), but people often still think of them as what they were in 2001.

I don’t know about that, but for me the defining moment for Al Jazeera, when they let their mask drop completely, was this birthday party for a child-killing terrorist:

I wrote then that this disgusting, evil show should prevent the network from ever being picked up by US cable providers, and I still believe that.
