I think you’re mostly right, with a caveat. Saying that stay-at-home mothers “haven’t worked a day in their lives” is not acceptable.

The caveat, of course, is that Ann Romney has no first-hand experience of what it means to be a “working person” who has to carefully budget for such things as school outings and sports equipment for her kids.
