Regarding the range issue, while it’s a valid point, I think that it’s more a perception issue than an actual inconvenience, at least for most people. Once you get the range up over 100 miles, you’ve covered the driving habits of most people. Go over 200 miles, like the Chevy Bolt or Tesla Model 3, and you’ve covered everything but long road trips. Then, your biggest issue becomes charging time and number of charging stations.

Two hundred miles. So like about every trip I have to take beyond my local grocery store (local being sixteen miles one way).

As for being stranded out in the middle of nowhere and eaten by wolves, we don’t really have wolves here. We have mountain lions.
