Here’s an interesting seasonal tie-in: It’s generally accepted that the Virgin Mary was somewhere between 12 and 15 years old when she gave birth to Jesus. That’s roughly the same age as Greta is now.

So on the one hand they have no problem literally venerating one teen girl for having the maturity, poise and strength to handle being the mother of the Son of God, but another teen girl with similar traits who is also involved in making a major impact on the world is demonized as being merely a naive child who doesn’t know any better and is merely following the orders of manipulative adults.

It’s pretty simple to me. Conservatives and libertarians are uninterested in environmental protection since it gets in the way of $$$. The latter sometimes get it right on criminal justice but they’re clueless hacks on the environment.
