re: #326 Anymouse 🌹🏡😷
A woman vice-president of Digital Equipment Corporation couldn’t get a credit card in the early Nineties from any bank in Colorado Springs according to my wife. She was required to have her mostly-unemployed consultant husband co-sign.
The same VP then ran an experiment calling on dozens of women to apply for credit cards. No bank would issue one to any of them.
Since the Equal Credit Opportunity Act passed in 1974, they would all have had a (federal) case, if they’d cared to make it.
