re: #326 GunstarGreen
I live in the state of Georgia. Our grocery stores have signage posted on their cooling units in the alcohol section that state the following:
“In accordance with the law, Alcoholic products may only be sold between the hours of 11:30am and 11:30pm on Sundays” (I may be getting the exact times wrong)
And yet these right-wing douchebags are worried about ‘creeping sharia’.
Some days it’s really, really hard for me to remain civil and calm.
Michigan also has Sunday “blue laws” prohibiting alcohol sales. I see these signs posted at the kosher grocery. It’s especially inconvenient when Sunday happens to be the day before a major festival. Shoppers are advised to “plan their purchases ahead of time.”
