The problem I see is that he isn’t actually asserting his Fifth Amendment rights. He’s just refusing to answer some questions the basis that he doesn’t want to and on the raw assertion that as President he is somehow metaphysically incapable of committing obstruction of justice.

I’d change that last part to be that Trump feels that anything he does is necessarily legal. Furthermore, whatever in question being felt to be legal is only a small part of the overall magnificence it possesses by being something done by The Great Trump.

IMO he really is such a narcissist that this is how he operates.
