There is a lot of original work just laying there, unable to get out of the “known quantity” requirement for financing. Some of this work is as good or better than what we have seen in the past.

One studio could just continue making movies based on Philip K. Dick novels. I’d love to see ‘The Man in the High Castle’ made into a movie. The only really good movie based on a Dick novel (well short story) was Blade Runner, the others have fallen flat with me.

And I’d shit a brick if someone made a movie out of Gibson’s ‘Mona Lisa Overdrive’ or Pynchon’s ‘V’.
