For me that would indicate that it is time to visit my local Apple Store and get some help to set up my new iphone.

It’s probably because the previous phone is dead, Jim. This is a situation where 2-factor authentication is creating a problem, because the device that was set up to receive texts is defunct.

But I’ll figure it out. I live for moments like these.
