Most, if not all of it, IMO. Back in the mid-70’s all we had in the way of “mass media” was 1) [one-way] Broadcast TV; 2) Print media (newspapers and magazines); 3) word-of-mouth (personal conversations and voice telephones). Not that those were the Dark Ages: but a far cry from the all-pervasive, multiply-interactive INternet-driven media world of 2017. Where anything and everything (no matter how stupid, partisan, biased or just plain insane) can get promulgated basically to half the entire world almost instantaneously.
