Actually, looking at the video of the car racing away in reverse, there does seem to be a rear license plate, although it’s impossible to make out and may have been covered over.

With that kind of front-end damage, unless the perp has a garage somewhere damn close by, he or she is driving around in a pretty noticeable vehicle.

Either that, or they ditched the car a couple miles away and hoofed it.
