There is a valid concern, in that we don’t want the military to become completely disconnected from the government and to basically become a law unto itself. That way lies madness. However, it’s sounding more and more like General Milley followed appropriate procedures and involved people from the Defense and State Departments, so I’m not worried about it anymore.
