I saw a picture that purported to show where the missiles landed. It looked like, for some reason, the missiles meant to take out the base’s defences.

Which is good if there was meant to be a follow up airstrike. Say with concrete dibber bombs.

If there was no follow up strike planned then why bother? If the base had meant to be taken out of action why not target the tank farm, storage facilities, workshops, and yes, the chemical weapons themselves?

The whole thing was so obviously the military equivalent of a show trial. That so many people have fallen for it speaks sadly for our species.
