Further reading on that Michigan funeral home case shows that James Dobson’s Wingnut Welfare organisation is the one supporting the right of the funeral home owner to be a bigot in the court case.

His organisation was the one which pushed Hobby Lobby all the way to the finish line.

funeral homes have a bigger range of arguments at their disposal to present themselves as participating in a religious rite, certainly more than a cake baker does with a wedding cake.

but if that be the case, then they are then presenting themselves as quasi-religious organizations and opening up a big can of worms, so to speak…
