I saw/heard someone, maybe last week, ragging on Clinton for not winning, and subjecting us to Trump. I thought, “Jesus Christ! Do voters have NO responsibility?”

But I’d heard a version of that same argument from My Idiot Brother, arguing that Nader voters didn’t give us GW Bush. No, it was really Al Gore’s fault, for being such a lousy candidate that he didn’t even win his home state. I challenged him on that and he laughed at me. Apparently, no, voters do not have any responsibility for the results of their votes.

I even caught a lot of shit within the family for ‘bullying’ him with my crazy idea that however you vote, you need to own the consequences - that if you choose to vote 3rd party then you’re saying that either of the two major party candidates is equally acceptable to you. If you vote 3rd party and the Worst Case Scenario wins, you own part of that.
