Went to the food pantry today before going to the Ash Wednesday service.

Got given a lb of ground Elk (!) there. Going to have to find a good recipe for that, especially since it’s probably got to be from this year’s first legal Elk hunt since he reintroduction of elk in Wisconsin with a herd of 25 in 1995 by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The herd has grown to an estimated 180 and they had, IIRC, 6 or 10 hunting tags issued with all but one going to the local tribes or charity.
