The Germans had a bit of a problem with Nazis a while back and they decided that allowing Nazis: The next Generation platforms and social media access to their people was a Bad Idea, thus they wrote and enforced laws against Nazis being Nazis on blogs, sites like Twitter, photocopied sheets of paper taped to lamp-posts etc. The American-based social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook want access to the German market so they play nice with the anti-Nazi German laws to remain available to all those little German consumers.
