Reminds me of days long past when the Glenview Naval Air Station in Glenview, IL was still open. Every 2nd year for the Chicago Air and Water Show, the Blue Angels would fly out of there. Tons of us would sit at the roadside past the end of the runway on Lehigh Avenue to watch them take off/land over us. Awestruck. So loud too. The extra pilot even hit afterburners straight over us and knocked drinks over that were on the hood of our cars. Nobody cared.
Buch of other Naval planes throughout the year too. Stealth fighters were wicked cool to see.
