He always creates wiggle room in his statements. He only said he “had people looking into it” not directly boasting he would pay. Just like people looked into Obama’s Birth Certificate. Yeah right. It’s all meant to paint him as doing what the crazies want him to do. They’re too stupid to follow up, just glad their bully is checking it out for them.

He is the master of the Tweet and the sound byte. Taken separately, some his statements do not sound completely bat-shit crazy and catastrophically dangerous.

But he knows that his supporters are too politically ADD to look at the big picture, and even when confronted with contradictions and lies, simply gloss them over out of loyalty to the Trump brand.
