If one party holds the trifecta, most all of the policy is going to be set by the president. We are long past the days of FDR vetoing hundreds (if not thousands) of bills by a Democratic caucus. Congress isn’t going to be fighting with the president in those circumstances (which would probably be a waste of Warren’s talents). If we had a “normal” Republican president (assuming such a thing will ever exist again in the future), someone like Warren as the Senate Majority Leader would make more sense.

I think you missed “the GOP’s well-honed and fatally efficient obstruction skills” part. You need to factor Mitch McConnell and the ‘fillibuster’ into what happens into the senate. We’re not going to have 60 votes, so keeping the senate democrats 100% unified is going to be important. Power struggles will not be our friend.
